Formal Analysis - Pre Design Complexity

First part for 'Design Complexity' was to analyze an object and find  essential shape characteristics. The Russian Doll resulted in three incisive terms, which are Offset - Nest - and Scale. Out of  several abstract variations, the top three achievements on the top right was the base for finding a significant formal language. Combined in one concept, the final interpretation of the Russian Dolls nature was established.

The final abstract depiction of the Russian Doll is a arrangement of diverse faces, which can be assembled differently. The models expression is either inverted or extracted to achieve a negative space but also to represent a sense of offsetting and scaling in a combined version. A significant role is the changing direction of layers which keeps the balance in growing.
